FINANCIAL AID

PCI Health Training Center participates in the Title IV Student Financial Assistance programs administered by the United States Department of Education, which are grant and loan programs available to students who qualify under federal guidelines. Veterans and other eligible persons can use VA Educational benefits for attendance in the Medical Assistant or Psychiatric Assistant programs. Additionally, a number of federal, state and local organizations offer a variety of financial help in the form of tuition assistance, scholarships, daycare assistance, transportation assistance, and other types of assistance.

PCI Health Training Center realizes that the average student does not have the financial means to simply "pay for it" when it comes to the educational expenses involved with professional career training. At PCI Health Training Center, our desire is to assist each student reach his or her career goals by helping them overcome the financial obstacles that they may face along the way. With this in mind, PCI makes available a number of financing options that can make the training affordable to practically anyone!

FEDERAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

The Federal Pell Grant is an award to eligible students that does not have to be repaid. The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is an additional grant award made available to students with the greatest need level, with priority given to Pell grant recipients. Federal Stafford Loans are low-interest loans available to eligible students who borrow funds for educational expenses from a bank or other lending institution. Repayment on federal loans begins six months after the borrower’s last date of attendance as at least a half-time student. For all federal programs, the student must apply to the U.S. Department of Education on their application form.

OTHER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

There are a number of programs funded by various federal, state and local agencies which provide tuition assistance or scholarships. Students who think they may be eligible for any of these programs should contact the agencies directly to apply for such assistance. In all cases, PCI Health Training Center admissions standards will be observed. Since not everyone will qualify for outside assistance, or the financial aid available will not cover the entire training program costs, the school offers a number of institutional financing plans, including loans, interest-free installments or low-interest payment arrangements to help pay the remaining expenses.

PCI FINANCIAL AID OFFICE

The Financial Aid Office at PCI Health Training Center can determine which programs each student may qualify for and how much assistance is available. Since the financial aid application process can often be a complicated maze, the professional Financial Aid staff at PCI Health Training Center will assist each student through the application process.  Each prospective student will have a confidential interview for this purpose, and to answer any questions they may have concerning their eligibility.  During this interview, individualized financing arrangements will be made that meets their specific needs.
